Breast Feeding in Public
This past weekend I had/went to a cookout in Crown Point in San Diego. Crown Point is a park by the water with picnic tables and other nice stuff like that. What does breast feeding, a public park and cookouts have to do with one another? Well I did/saw all 3 of them in one place.
I know when woman have just had babies they need to breast feed or pump their breasts during in opportune times. The thing is when it’s done in public it definitely makes for a little bit of a spectacle. Let it be known that breast feeding/pumping doesn’t bother me at all. I think more woman should do it!
We all had just finished eating when Emily was like “That woman’s boob over there is totally out in open while she’s breast feeding.” Like I said before I always enjoy seeing a boob but it does seem kind of weird for women to be breast feeding in public. It’s one of those things that should probably be done outside of the public eye. It’s not like when I need to go the bathroom I just pull down my pants and start going in front of everyone.
Don’t you think it’s kind of weird? Wheres my breast feeding mom fans?

I used to do it all the time.
I remember one time with my first at the grocery store…he wouldn’t stop crying and since I don’t deal well under pressure, so I sat down in the middle of the juice isle…on the floor…whipped out my boob and fed him.

Yeah - I think it’s weird too. I don’t hate them for doing it but I would never whip out my boob whether it was lactating or not!! Unless for some reason someone got me really drunk and was going to give me $500 to do it. Then I might…

when I was preganant I was given this really nice shawl that was specifally meant for breast feeding.. you put it on and it was roomy enough for you to get your shirt up and feed the baby..
I do support breast feeding but when your in public ladies, cover it up.. not every one likes to see a boob exposed in public.. it can make other peoplel feel uncomfortable.. like me for instance.. I enjoy seeing a good boob as much as any other self respecting part time lesbian, but when there is a kid attached to it..i creaps me out.. and I’m a mom for cryin out loud.. i understand the need to feed.. i also understand the need to cover the boob up…

On a side note, I am once an uncle. My new nephew was born today after 6 minutes of pushing. She went in to the hospital and out cam Ethan Andrew. 8lbs 2oz and 20″ long.

it’s not just a boob, its a boob with a demonoid child attached to it. I understand that it is a natural occurrence, but I’d just rather it be taken to a place that isn’t seen by the public eye.
I agree with Dirty. Many of you equate breastfeeding with sex or deficating in public. You’re way off.
Breasts have significant sexual standing in our society, but breastfeeding is not a sexual act. It’s feeding a baby. Those in here who can’t get past that are (no matter your politics) as conservative as the corpse of Jerry Falwell.

I was just getting ready to say it does bother me when a woman has her whole breast hanging out but then again just like dirty said “its just a boob”. I have seen and heard things that are way more disturbing .
the boob is a great thing to see its when the boob is being used to feed or arouse someone when its in appropriate for public viewing.

Uh, I don’t want to get all lactivist on you, but boobs are for babies. Really. That’s what they’re for. And it’s kind of disappointing that we would rather sexualize the equipment than appreciate the function. Do you eat in the bathroom? So, is that a great place for a baby to eat?

it also helps with weight loss. my friend lost all of the pregnancy weight just from breastfeeding. i asked her if i could breastfeed her baby so i could lose weight too, but i don’t have any milk. lol i am kidding about the last part.
i plan to bf my kids until they are 1 years old.
i’m at work and this lady just asked me if she can feed her baby in the waiting room. i told her to go for it.
the area that i work in there is no eating allowed becasue its preoperative, but i told her she can bf since none of the other hungry babies here really know what she is doing anyways.
this is a pediatric floor so if any adults have a problem with it, they can shove it.
