Stowie is in the hospital
As you guys know I am a huge animal lover. I feel more compassion and sympathy towards animals than people. Well this past Monday night while Erica was walking her dog Stowie another dog ran up to Stowie and attacked him in the abdomen. The other dog which was a 60-70 lb German Shepherd/Lab mix started shaking Stowie (Poodle/Mini Schnauzer Mix 15 lbs) in his mouth for a few seconds. Stowie’s spleen and intestine were punctured in the process.
Stowie was bleeding pretty bad and needed emergency surgery to get his spleen and intestine fixed. I am very close to Stowie since I was roommates with Erica and I went with her the day she got him. She actually got her own dog because of Herbie. Stowie’s medical bills right now are at $5,000 so far. He had 13 bite marks, his belly is bruised and in stitches, he’s all drugged up on pain killers, he has an acid reflux thing going on because of the bites to his abdomen. The good news is he is doing pretty good right now but Erica has pretty much run out of money. Her mom has paid $5,000 of her own money towards Stowie and can’t afford anymore.
If you are willing to give anything to help Erica pay Stowie’s medical bills you can send Paypal to eputis@hotmail.com or click here and I will send all the money received to her as well. Even if you don’t have a Paypal account you can still send money via credit card without setting up an account with them. Paypal is owned by Ebay and is super secure!
Erica is going to go after the owner of the dog that bit her dog but the lady says she is flat broke and can’t help pay at the moment. Erica will file a lawsuit of some sort to eventually get the owner pay but in the meantime Stowie needs our help now!
I will be putting everyone in a raffle that donates money for Stowie’s medical bills for a $20 iTunes Gift card!
The people who have donated for a total of $400 so far are:
Dave Tuetken
Kyle
Sonya Keough
Ginny Marino
Emily Ignacio
Bill Kutters
Punky
Arlene Flynn
Christina Trachtenberg
Edward Doucette
Gregg O’Connell
Thanks Guys,
gregg

Those pictures are so fucking sad.
want me to take them down?
oh my god it’s horrible…i’ll give my donation…next week… i think if that all was happened to my little miss Jolie I’d go crazy…
Wow…this is so sad. I hope Stowie gets well soon.
Definitely go after that lady. When dogs leash out like that it is the owners fault for not training the dog correctly.
Lime: thank you Lime
dirty: I totally agree
Get better Stowie!
I agree with Dirty. Owners are 100% responsible for their animals.
Did Erica file a police report? Might be worth calling it in for possible lawsuit purposes.
I may be harsh, but my stance would be, “You will pay my dog’s medical bills or I will have your dog put to sleep, THEN I’ll sue!”
- Worm (DESPISES owners of undisciplined doggies)
I totally agree with Wormbrain.
aww, this is so sad. I know how you feel Erica. Im still paying off a $4000 bill from when my dog Emma choked on a chicken bone she picked up while we walked by a trash bin.
Two of my good friends are lawyers if you have questions and need free answers. Let me know.
Wormbrain: She called the police and they said they don’t do anything with dog attacks.
Erica is considering all options right now and is contact with the owner of the dog and is trying to get her to pay.
punky: damn $4,000 chicken bone?!
The attacking dog actually needs to be put down. Dogs are supposed to be domesticated animals that don’t viciously attack without provocation. What happens next time if it’s a 3 year old walking past when the dog decides to attack? Erica needs to call animal control!
bill: should they put people down that bite or get in fights as well?
It depends on if I ASKED them to bite…
bill: thats kinky!
“The choice to come in early may not have been arbitrary, but it was certainly unpredictable!”
Hey Gregg, Great info to update all of us on Stowie. I am Pat’s (Erica’s Mom) friend and business partner and am happy to read about all of the donations to help Stowie with his recovery. I plan to add some $ to the “Stowie Slush Fund”. Send love to Erica for me . . . and to all of the other doners . . . WELL DONE!
Sonya: thank you so much! the amount of people willing to help with a dog that’ve never met is amazing.
thanks again!
