Alex Albrecht Left Me Breathless

Category: , , ,

People seldom leave me speechless or better yet breathless. Well maybe a few girls in my life have left me breathless, but that’s all in the past and this is the present. I recently attended Comic Con. Comic Con is a convention that is held every year in San Diego and it has everything from comic books to action figures and video games to upcoming movies and TV shows. It truly a geeks paradise. You see people dressed up like their favorite Star Wars characters, huge massive boobs hanging out everywhere, Jack Sparro & a lot of other things.

You probably don’t know Alex Albrecht like I know him. I first noticed him on TV when he got a job on what was then known as The Screen Savers on G4TV. He was witty, crazy, smart & more energy than a 42 oz Coke. He got fired and eventually ended up on one of my favorite podcasts Diggnation.
Diggnation occasionally does some live shows at bars in California. They did one show in San Diego which I attended like the nerd I am and had a great time.

Anyways lets get to the point of my story and what Comic Con, Alex Albrecht & me being left breathless all have in common. While I was at Comic Con with my buddy G-Dix and his daughter Batgirl we were about to leave when all of the sudden I heard an all too familiar voice behind me. I turned and looked and what did I set my eyes and ears upon but none other than Alex Albrecht. I’ve always wanted to get my photo with Alex and his co-host on Diggnation Kevin Rose, but never have. This was my opportunity!
I said “Hey Alex!” and he was like “Hey whats going on!” As I walk up to him my breathing becomes deeper and deeper kind of like if you had just run 2 miles…I barely mustard up enough air to say “dude I love your show Diggnation!” He’s like “oh thanks, are you enjoying yourself?” I’m like “Yeah there’s a lot of video games here this year compared to last” and he naturally agreed with me.
I eventually caught my breath but by that time the conversation had ended, I had gotten the photo I had so wanted and the moment was over.

I’ll always cherish that time I spent with Alex and I will never forget it. He seems like a totally cool fun guy with no attitude. I like that about semi-famous people when they don’t act all weird and cheesy. You get that shit from a lot of musicians. Musicians act so fucking weird its cheesy!

So your all your fantasies came true at comic con, huh? Oh - except the one where you get anal sex from a storm trooper.

i followed you all around comicon last year while you got your picture taken with tons of hot, scantily clad girls, but THIS year you’re left breathless by some blond-haired dude from a podcast…. weirdo.

erica: anal sex is nasty dirty and smelly!
    ewwww poops!

emily: it’s the simple male pleasures that satisfy me

An Albrecht? That wasn’t on trial in Nuremberg? Nah. Couldn’t care less.

But! I really like that you two have the white guy thumbs-up thing going on. If you had done the overbite you would have been tres chic.

QofD: when you arrive in SD are you going to do some photos with me while we display our thumbs? white people are the coolest!

Listened to “Massachusetts” on youtube - just wanted to give you props on it, it’s easy to relate to. Always seems like music flows so much easier when you really believe in what you’re writing. Anyway, solid site and decent song - keep it up!

Wish I could have attended comic con, maybe next year punky and i can fly out and you and i can go, its been my dream for a long time.

Whatever happened to the screensavers anyway? I haven’t seen that since g4tv was tech tv.

I always like leo and patrick, they are pretty funny. Have you seen attack of the show? that is pretty much the best show on the network. IMHO

kyle: leo and patrick do a podcast over at
    http://www.twit.tv
    good stuff!

screen savers was canceled and everyone on that show was either fired or quit b/c of the shitty management….

they’d be amazing if you and punky came to comic con next year..you guys can sleep in my bed with me and emily and the dogs!

Gregg: It’s about god damn time you updated your blog. I was getting bored and restless seeing the same crap over and over again. I also find it very funny that you were left breathless by a dude. I think it is about time you just come out of the closet and admit you love the cack. Next year I am coming to Comic Con just to follow you around and document every time you get a raging hard on for a dude. That should be somewhere near the number of 32423146732145785./

    Mr. Greeeeeeeeeggory!……….Greggory!

Looks like you had some fun at the con this year. Just wanted to let your girl Emily know that if she was hesitant about having a child with you….have no fear, you past the “Fatherly Instinct” test with flying colors.
I trusted Gregg with my daughter that day and I would trust him with my daughter in the future. Gregg is now a Comic Con Veteran, having been there 2 years in a row, he’s now what you could call a “Senior Attendee”.
BTW, I could swear I saw Alex give Gregg the look back and checked out his rear end! (I saw what I saw)
That should make you very proud Gregg.
who hear thinks Gregg should dress up for Comic Con 2008? Let us know.

kyle: minus the goatee and red hair….i totally conquer

  18. punky August 2nd, 2007 7:58 am

What is this Comic Con crap?
If I go to San Diego, its to sit on the beach…not to go to Dork Conventions

  19. Mike Honcho August 2nd, 2007 8:29 am

Do not disgrace that which is Comic Con Punky. How many times did you sit on the beach when we went there? I can think of 0. I at least went running on the beach once.

Gregg : Dirty would like me to take this time to let you know that she is alive and well. She has no internet at this time and wanted me to tell you hello. If you have to know, we have been having a love affair on the side. On my long weekends in Rangoon, I have been flying out to see her in Ohio and engaging in what they call, premarital coitus. She says hello.

  20. gregg o'connell August 2nd, 2007 8:34 am

punky: comic con is not geeky! going to the beach is dangerous…the sun is so strong and powerful it can cause skin cancer!!!! scarrrrrrrrrrrry!!!

mike: you’ve really been boning te dirty one?! dang! i didnt know she liked gay dudes!

  21. punky August 2nd, 2007 9:49 am
